Jack and Sue Kling papers, 1926-1991 (bulk 1978-1991).

Correspondence, Community Party membership cards and certificates, autograph book (1926-1928), and other papers of Jack Kling (1911-1990), an active member of the Young Communist League, representative to the World Youth Congress in 1936, and national treasurer of the Community Party USA. Included are letters of condolence, a manuscript of Kling's autobiography: Where the Action Is, and 2 scrapbooks (1986, 1982-1991) consisting of photographs, letters, and programs relating to Kling. Also present is a folder of correspondence and writings of Samuel Hammersmark, who was also a labor organizer from Chicago.
